Dr Legg off of Eastenders is trying to sort out the MPs' expenses and they are not happy about it at all.

Pop up Parliament

Following on from the comments yesterday we've had an email asking for more info on Cedric Price's Pop-up Parliament so here you go.
A new two chamber parliament building on the same Westminster site incorporating new electronics and including a temporary shelter to a Parliament Square "stadium" (1965).

"If we want an efficient parliament, let's give it a whole efficient building to work . . . replace the present historic monument with an up-to-date structure - flexible, accessible and dispensable." So wrote New Society in 1965. A large but comparatively simple supermarket of democracy spreading its information and shelter to adjoinging but less committed areas auch as the vastly enlarged Parliament Square."

Why are the new expense proposals coming out before the full review by Sir Christopher Kelly and why introduce new rules which immediately came under attack for not actually solving anything but create more issues? Are they confused? Is it a bit of wool pulling?Anyone know the answers?

Its interesting how many MPs are advising they will not be standing at the next elections. Not, they hasten to add because they have done anything wrong - but because of "other commitments".

It has nothing to do with the fact that if they did stand they'd get well beaten by even an independent who was standing on a campaign of free rights for garden gnomes. Thats got nothing to do with it - as we all know that they "have done nothing wrong".
