EXPLANATION OF IDEA
A self contained modular floating pod with easily maintained amenities suitable for one or more nights accommodation.
Each pod comes equipped with bed, work station, storage, self contained bathroom, cooking facilities and panoramic views or the Thames/Houses of Parliament.
Further pods can be docked as required depending on occupancy required. Integrated amenities mean pods can be easily turned around after check out at a low and ‘public conscious’ cost.
As well as sleeping pods there could be communal pods such as bar, research centre and even remote franchises supplying those working into the small hours with coffee and snacks.

I really like this, but it is not complete for me. Why pods? Sure they looks cool.... What do they represent? Also do they span the entire width of the river? How do boats pass? And why BOB?? Does it stand for something. I know it sounds like I just picked this appart, but I do like the proposed housing. It is a fresh idea. Looks great.

Thanks for the comment. I have always liked the idea of a modular unit,a simple shape and form, something that is independently expandable by just adding more of them makes for more striking visual impact. So Bob; views from the river bank and bridges, of a collection of 'other worldly' living units, bobbing around in the Thames. The scheme for me had to incorporate the Thames, integral to London's development, so the idea of a fishing lure worked, a simple form that responds to the river but could also house all the essential amenities that would be required. A simple boat docking station would be constructed and 'bobs' would be moored to this as needed along the bank.
